Shorinji Kempo

I have literally not posted in ages. So much has gone on in my life that I haven't posted about and probably never will post about. Yang paling penting kan ku blogkan is pasal tajuk di atas, Shorinji Kempo. Some of you may recognise that name, or have seen it on my Facebook page.

Shorinji Kempo is a form of martial arts. Yang ku paham lah a, Kempo ani ibu kepada segala jenis martial arts. Eseh.. Tae Kwon Do, Karate and a bunch of others actually came from Shorinji Kempo. The name comes from Japan, but the original form is actually from China. Have you guessed its proper name? Shaolin Kungfu. I'm sure most of you will recognise that, at least.

Mengapa aku cakap pasal Shorinji Kempo? Basically because it's pretty much taken over my life for the moment. Indonesia has only recently started spreading it to other asean countries such as Brunei. and it's only recently been incorporated as one of the sports to be played in the sea games. I'm lucky enough to be one of the first batch of kenshis in Brunei. Kenshi refers to a person who is studying Shorinji Kempo. So I'm a kenshi.

Because we are so determined to join the sea games this November, our sensei from Indonesia is really pushing us to learn as much as we can as fast as we can. This means training sessions almost every night. Ngalih banar plang tapi inda jua rugilah.. If not for the sea games, at least we can stay healthy in a most interesting way. and at least we know what to do when someone grabs your hand uninvited.

at the moment, there are only a few girls including myself. Kami kan tambah lagi urang tapi inda sanang eh mencari... I had no idea how much convincing is needed on girls. I guess we just think too much on everything. There are too many pros and cons in joining Kempo this year and they have to be weighed carefully. Time, money, energy, etc.

anyway, that's all from me this time. Bye.
