Okay, I'm just bored.. Couldn't think of anything to post.. So I decided to post this. =p

My favorite member from Super Junior, the Korean boyband, is Kim Joungwoon a.k.a. Yesunggie-oppa. He's cute, hot, adorable, has an AWESOME voice.. AND... he sorta looks like CL2.. =D

I'm not kidding. Even Tiah said so... Once, during her Sociology class (also my PS), Chong Chong Ling Ling passed by her class. She immediately texted me afterward.. Lol... She said he actually looked HANDSOME to her... For once~ She said maybe it was because he had his tie on for once~ And she said he looked JUST LIKE YESUNG! ;D

Isn't that awesome?

Yesung-oppa is in Super Junior's first subgroup,
K.R.Y. along with Kyuhyun and Ryeowook. They both have great voices as well... I think I read somewhere that these three are the best singers in Super Junior... =D Don't I just love that.. But of course, in my opinion, Yesung is, and always will be, the best of the best in Suju!!! Yea!

So, my message to Yesung-oppa:

Yesung-oppa, saranghaeyo!!! I don't speak Korean and you don't speak much (if at all) English.. But it doesn't matter... I'll support you no matter what!! :P Because Yesung equals to love lol... Even if suddenly the whole world turned its back on you, I'm here to support you always. Yesung-oppa, hwaiting! ;D

Apologies~

About my previous post.. I think I sounded a bit angry. I'm not mad at them actually. I'm sure they have their reasons for not calling. It's just that a certain someone was real angry and maybe it influenced my writing. So my apologies to my cousins, although they won't be reading this. Lol... Bianne~

Holiday Time!

Aish.. Yesterday was my last exam, History. It wasn't so bad, surprisingly. I'd read about Russia a little bit and lucky for me, THREE of the questions were about Russia. So rather than writing just two essays, I managed to write all four required essays with five minutes to spare :D Talk about awesome!

Well, my friends didn't do so well, from what I hear... Ziqah didn't finish everything cause in the middle of answering Question 6, her pen didn't have any more ink. And Ziqah being Ziqah, she'd only brought one pen with her... But I'm sure her other essays were better...

Now, I'm free! Well, not really~ Sir Mirul gave me homework. Two essays taken from the Paper One Sociology exam paper... I already answered one of them in the paper... But for some reason, he wants me to do it again.. Well actually, Mr. Simmons, the Upper Six teacher and, I think, HOD, was the one who assigned it to me. Aish..

Somehow, I feel like I'm the only one taking the AS paper for Sociology. I mean, I'm the only who got homework~ Aish.. Evil, evil teachers. Oh well, whatever...

A Tribute To My Sister ;p

FYI, my sister, ka CT, stat baca blogku ani =P so she asked me to write some nice things about her occasionally lol... So here it is.

Previously, I've been having problems with my laptop. You know, the whole virus thing. So although the laptop was connected to the internet, I couldn't use it.. Which sucked.. Considering 75% of my computer activities involves the internet.. Okay, maybe 85%. Manasaja cia~

Lama plang dah catu... How long, I don't remember... It could have been a month or three, for all I know, or care. Eventually, I guess ka CT got a bit exasperated with it.. Since I've been delaying taking it to the shop to be repaired..

So she took matters into her own hands and tried to fix it.. Ia tejumpa PUNCA SEGALA MASALAH ahha i.e. online and downloaded games. She MANUALLY downloaded or installed or whatever the virus scanning thing for THREE WHOLE HOURS.

She installed it to my Internet Explorer so that whatever website I wanna go to, I can check its safety by using Google. Kinda hard for me to explain.. I'm no good at that sort of thing. Tapi cool jua la ahha

Now I just need a reminder to ask her about the YouTube downloader thingy where she said I could safely download songs. Also, I need to remind myself to delete everything I don't use. Gambar-gambar, videos, songs and whatnot..

The Weekend System

Okay, I am obviously bored and with nothing to do right now so I thought I'd right about something nobody actually cares about..

In most countries, the weekend consists of Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Isn't that awesome? Two days and two nights straight of no school...

In countries like Brunei, we have Fridays and Sundays off... It's great and all... But, our "vacation" is interrupted by school on Saturday. That's no fun.. Although I get it that boys have to go the mosque at noon on Fridays~

Why can't they just give us a really long lunch break on Fridays and we get home a little later than usual?.. There's nothing wrong with that.. At least in this way, boys can't escape from going to the mosque with teachers supervising and stuff... It's not like they can say they have cramps like girls can.. And then we have two whole days of no school to look forward to...

Then again, most teachers like to take advantage of two-day holidays to give lots of homework. Evil, evil teachers~ So maybe the whole holiday-schoolday-holiday weekend system is better?.. At least that way, we get to appreciate our occasional two-day and three-day holidays more. Also, two-day and three-day holidays equal to one extra day of no school!!! They can't take advantage of a two-day system in order to ensure we don't miss school... I mean, come on.. How much are we gonna miss in just one day?

Lots, I assure you... But it's not like we can't have extra classes or something. I don't mind.. It means less time on my computer to escape from fatal boredom and therefore less getting scolded for spending ALL my time on the computer doing things that's absolutely not relevant to my life~ It also means more time to hang out with my friends before class starts. That's not so bad..

So maybe, our weekend system ain't so bad after all... Cool!!! I love Brunei!!! :P

I don't really like to study. I don't really like doing homework. But I want to study. I need to study in order to not fail... I want to study because I don't wanna fail...

I usually need to want to study in order to be able to study at all... So obviously being shouted at by my mum to go study won't work because I'll feel like I'm being forced to study so no matter how many times I read the one sentence on the one page the book is open to, I won't remember it.. So, that's one reason why I can't study.

Reason 1: I have to want to study.

Okay, I have to want to study. That's a bit hard considering I don't LIKE studying. Well, let's look at studying from another angle. Why do I always study last-minute?

Well, from what I can tell, I work best under pressure. Last-minute is definitely a factor for pressure. When I study earlier, there's no guarantee I'm gonna remember what I study. In fact, there is only a 20% chance that I'll remember... Not unless I'm studying with some spirit.. Which is difficult to do...

I remember before my PMB exam, I was studying Geography in the living room and Syakirah came to bother me. Okay, she didn't come to bother me but she bothered me all the same. So I decided to roleplay as a teacher and I taught her about the core and magma and whatnot.. It was fun and she actually got pretty interested.. She even referred to the lesson loads of time after that.. Asking me again about the core and all... So I ended up remembering that a lot..

But A'level isn't like PMB or even O'level... For PMB, all I had to do was remember facts. A'level is a different story altogether... It's essays, essays and more essays. It's reading, analysing and putting together points to make an essay. It's structuring essays, using linking sentences, putting incoherent thoughts into proper words. It's not just memorizing. It's thinking as well...

You know what I think? Brunei has got her education system all wrong. We're being pampered by the government.. From primary school to secondary school, all we have to do is memorize things. We should be learning to think from an early age, not to memorize.

I think the best subjects to study are Mathematics and the Science subjects because you don't really have to think. Everything is fixed, constant.. All you have to is remember formulaes, rules and theories. The law of gravity and whatnot..

Art is also a great subject as long as you've been doing it since primary school and actually enjoyed it and tried to get it right, unlike some people I know (a.k.a me).

However, english subjects are not so awesome. English is only to ensure you can speak and write in English.. For English Literature, most schools only offer it in the fourth form. You only start writing essays for History in the Lower Six... As for Sociology, I've never encountered a subject like that before so how am I supposed to know what I signed up for when I was registering for it?? And they expect us to know what we're doing? Yes, in other countries, students are expected to write theses and whatnot already at our age. But why compare us to kids who have learnt that kind of stuff way earlier than we did?? Is it really our fault that we have never faced this kind of thing before?

I'm still not sure how to write a really good essay. I'm talking about the structure basically. Obviously the content would depend on the question.. Like, how do I really know how to write a good essay to answer a source-based question if I've only done it once before and only seen one example of an essay?

For our History exam, there are three hours to answer four questions. I can barely finish my Lit essay in one hour and I'm expected to finish FOUR History essays in THREE hours? What is this? Hell?..

Ugh.. I got way off topic now and I don't really feel great due to certain conditions exclusive to the female species.

Socio exam paper 1

Argh!! So hard ma~

I don't remember if I mentioned this already but we're facing our end-of-year exams now. Today was the Sociology Paper 1 exam as mentioned above. It shouldn't have been hard at all...

I had since Wednesday to study, plenty of time.
Also, I knew what topics to study.

Section A
= Conformity/Social order/Socialisation

Section B
= Questionnaires&participant observation

Section C
= Poverty

Therefore, combined with the amount of time actually available to me, it should have been a piece of cake. But guess what?! Foolishly, I waited until the last minute to begin my revision.. Even then, I was fooling around..

I chose the questions on Conformity/Social order/Socialisation and Poverty.

Result?

I finished the question on Poverty but I forgot to add in some things and I didn't have time to put them in so I won't get a lot of marks. I also couldn't explain everything because I was worried about having enough time to finish both essays.

I didn't have time to finish the other question because I was too busy trying to remember anything about it.. If I'd studied earlier, I would've been confronted with almost exactly the same question that I had discussed with Sir Mirul during one of our extra classes.

Argh!! All my own damn fault!! Stupid, stupid Amal...

Guess what? I have another exam tomorrow, EAS exam.. You have to write a commentary on a passage and then write a paragraph using a similar style as the author of the passage. It's really hard.. I'm not so good at it.. But you know? I'm not studying. Instead, I'm blogging. Typical me.

By the way, I just love Super Junior's song Don't Don, especially Henry's violin part ^^ So hot ma~
